FREE TRIP TO ZOO.

CHILDREN FROM BIRKENHEAD

The Birkenhead Borough Council has arranged to take the Children of the local relief workers to the Auckland Zoo on Monday. The Children will be under the care of the Mayoress, Mrs. J. P. McPhail, and a committee of ladies, and will be provided with light refreshments. The Marine Suburbs Bus Company and the Birkenhead Transport Company will provide buses to the zoo free of charge, and the Devonport Ferry Company will allow free transport across the harbour. The buses will start at Beach Haven at 10.30 a.m., picking up the children en route to the Birkenhead Wharf, and will leave for the city by the vehicular ferry at 11.20 a.m.
