New Year Resolution
No more bragging about what I've got
No more moaning at my dreary lot
No more spending on useless rot
No more feasting - my weight must drop
Meals on time for dear old Hub
Don't forget his socks to scrub
Let his papers lay about
and meekly clear his ashtrays out.
When grand-children come to stay
Always let them have their way
Let them wreck my precious house
I must never - never grouse.
No more gossip at the club
Fellow member I must love
Don't forget to pay my sub
Find the cash - Now there's the rub!
Do all this and always smile
But will my life be then worthwhile?
Being perfect is such a bore
Just be yourself
And enjoy life more.
