Christmas Break Up at Sharpes. 1952

Now Christmas time has come again
How we do moan and groan!
The reason way we are so sad
Is because we must stay home.
No rushin in the mornings to get done all the chores
We'll have time to do the dishes and even sweep the floors.

And just fancy!
At eh weekends there will be no washing to do
How we will fill in all our time I haven't got a clue.

And what about our morning tea?
However will we survive with no Mrs Taylor to cry out "TEA - OH"
When we are more dead than alive.

And How will we know all the news?
On Tess we could rely
Now we"ll have to buy the 'Truth" and read in on the sly.

The Grandma race is running well
And Ella thinks she has won
For Julie and I have only two each
While poor Tess has only got one!
But who knows what next year may bring
And I may win even yet
For the way they come in twos and threes
It wont't be safe to bet.
